Like the earlier releases by C.O.U. Long Player is named after a musical format: the LP! The name also have several other layers: the album is about not giving in easily, and was made while struggling with long covid. The C.O.U. also known as Jørgen Skjulstad is very tall, towering almost 2 meters or 6.56167979 feet above the ground and is also a long player in the musical field. The tracks on the album, which consists of three songs with vocals and five instrumentals is in an electronic dance music style, covering a range from disco, faux oriental vibes to ambient and dub. They all have long structures, with chords and beats repeating, with textures. synths and melodies develop slowly on top. Longplay is also a category of videos where people play a whole videogame, but even if there are videos for all of the tracks of the album this is no game! It's music that should be blasted loud at home, at a club or maybe in a bluetooth headset?
